The never-ending debate on REST API design

Last week, I had the chance to present at the Devoxx conference in Antwerp, Belgium, one of the biggest tech conferences in Europe, gathering over 3500 developers each year. This year, I talked about the never-ending debate on REST API design, covering quickly the basics of REST, and then moving on to HTTP verbs and status codes, naming and URL conventions, caching, filtering / pagination / searching / sorting, and even finishing with a few brief touches on hypermedia.

With over 300 attendees in the room, the presentation was very well attended, and I was lucky to have tons of interesting questions and discussions in the Q&A as well as later on throughout the conference and on Twitter about REST API design. Thanks a lot to all those who attended my talk and provided valuable feedback or raised highly pertinent questions!
